What are you going to be for Halloween? At Halloween, people dress up as scary ghosts, vampires, and goblins, but we've got something even scarier in our own back yard: youth homelessness. Did you know there are over 1300 homeless youth in Northwest Arkansas? This Halloween, I am a Superhero for Homeless Youth, using my superpowers to end youth homelessness. I am doing this by raising funds for Teen Thrive NWA, a program of the Teen Action and Support Center. Teen Thrive NWA provides a hub for teens with housing insecurity and other hardships to be connected to needed physical and emotional resources, clothing, school supplies, and mentorship and case management, empowering them to choose a path of healthy choices for a successful life, even if they are struggling with the hardship of homelessness for a time.
